Best lightweight laptop under $1800 for video editing and 3D modeling?

I am looking for a laptop for video editing and 3D modeling, and I'm leaning towards the RP 17, the HP Omen, or the Max 17.

Any ideas, comments, or recommendations?

the rp 17 is far cry from slim and lightweight 

 

the omen is cheaper but have a slightly lower cpu and lower res and also refresh rate display

if thats matter to you

maybe take a look at zephyrus g14/g15?

Yep, if you want lightweight then the G14 or Blade 14 look the best bet. Or wait for the confirmed 3050 Ti refresh of the Flow X13. I expect we’ll see a few of the 1650/1660 laptops like the Envy 14 or the Blade Stealth 13 updated to those new 3050/3050 Ti cards.
