Running the game with much more than all 'Normal' settings in terms of textures, post-processing, etc. isn't really necessary, so I'd recommend setting that (especially with those specs).

I don't think the issue necessarily resides within your specs exclusively, it's probably just a combination with your in-game graphics settings.

Although I will say that only 8GB of RAM can definitely be an issue in 2021.

put the game on an ssd and try to lower the settings a bit as your memory is only 8gb but firstly try putting on an ssd which you should have

Yeah, GTA really does needs a lot of disk bandwidth along with pretty good system. I had this issue too and the bandaid way is to decrease draw distance and keep textures settings on high (because medium and very high is literally downscaled high texture and upscaled high respectively), but at the end you really need to alleviate the bottleneck by moving your OS away from just a single HDD to a boot SSD.

Thanks for all the replies! I will try to get an ssd for the boot drive and get more ram, but i've been tweaking the graphics and.... well, the slow texture loading is still there with high speed, but the lagg spikes ARE gone!

So..... yeah thx for the replies and the tips!
