No you don't. Hard drives suck.

SSDs are better at everything an HDD can except large bulk storage (think 10+TB), but you don't need that kind of storage for a gaming PC.

They're all pretty much the same at this point. WD or Seagate, go for the one that has the larger capacity at the lower price if you really need the storage space.

It seems like people are ignoring the cost aspect of SSDs, so here's my recommendation:

 

If you just need something like a 2TB hard drive then get a Seagate BarraCuda. They're cheap (I bought one for $55 a couple weeks ago), they work well, and they're fast enough for gaming.
