Bluetooth music receiver?

Go to solution Solved by Jaybird,

I suggest the auris. long battery life. I dont know about the nexus 4 battery life but my HTC one hardly gets a dent using the blue tooth for most of the day. sound quality is good, again its a bluetooth so dont expect audiophile. you can also use it with docks and anything else with a 3.5mm jack or old iphone jack.

Yo! So i really don't know that much about audio and stuff so don't kill me....

So, i listen to alot of music (on the train, in school, etc etc) (all day) and i have recently bought the Razer electra headset, however, the audio jack in my nexus 4 has recently started to "lag" and since i dont have alot of money i have thought about buying some cheap (around 50$) bluetooth music receiver to plug into my electras so my question(s) is:

Is it worth it?

Is the audioquality good/okay or will this be terrible?

Will the battery on my PHONE die faster?

And do you guys have any recomendations?

Meow.

dont the headphones still need power to run? and not just a audio signal?

Phone --(bluetooth)--> receiver ---> cord ----> headset

(if i understood your question right)

However the headset is kinda lowpower and is suited for listening with the signal from your phone is that too much?

as i said im not that good with audio ;)

the auris will work. it has plenty enough power to drive any headphones. I have 50mm drivers on my v-moda and I can still crank up the sound.

well wireless headsets or headphones uses batteries to run, wired uses electricity though the wire, the bluetooth device wont power your headphones without it also having a battery powerful enough to power the entire headset :/

Doesn't take much to drive headphones mate. The product info says it can work with headphones.

Good points to worry about, but I it'll likely be just fine. :)

I see your point but as Jaybird said:

Valid point though

Well, my Cowon iAudio E2 drives my HD 650's just fine.

Cowon's kinda of outstanding, but HD 600/650 isn't really a difficult thing to drive. DT990's would be a better thing to "  " about
