My ViewSonic xg2405 doesn't turn off when pressing power button.

if tv has a power on/off button try that. if that doesnt work it's about remote then.

If you haven't try, unplug the monitor for a minute, and try again. If it doesn't work maybe the the power button is defective.

use hdmi instead of DP
