There's a weird sound coming from my power supply (not coil whine)

VibeChecker

The weird thing is that I only hear it sometimes when the PC is idling or doing simple tasks, and it goes away as soon as I put the PC under load. It sounds alot like a short circuit noise so it's worrying me. Here's a video of the sound:

What PSU?  One with low load burst mode?

Its not clear enough tbh, but thats just the problem with phone mics.

It could be a wire rubbing on the fan. It could indeed be electrical sparking on the high voltage side.
Less likely it could be a cooking leaked capacitor.

I would get a flashlight and try if you can see anything.
Personaly i would not use unless sure its not electrical.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I know what the problem is.  I responded to the OP's post at Tom's.

It's a Seasonic S12III.  That's the problem.
