In need of a mobo, details inside

Preface: Used is absolutely fine.

________

I have a core i5-6500, and many sticks of DDR3.

As well as several SSDs, and a GPU (okay, calling a GT 1030 a "GPU" is being charitable)

I have an OS, and a PSU

Plus a wifi card.

All I really need is a DDR3-compatible ITX/uATX more to go with the I5-6500.

I won't be a gaming box, but rather for Linux.

Any suggestions for a board?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Asus Z170I would probably fit the bill, but goes for like 150 bucks. Stay away from the AsRock boards.

the 6500 supports ddr4 not ddr3.  the 6th gen CPU's were the first consumer models from intel to support this.

Current Rig=  AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, Asus Crosshair Hero VIII, EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 ultra, 32gb Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3000hz White, EVGA 750 P2 PSU, 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 500gb samsung 860 evo, 250GB Samsung 850 evo, 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 2TB seagate firecuda sshd,  LianLi PC 011 Dynamic XL ROG edition, Corsair h150i elite capelix

Skylake and kabylake (and even coffee lake supports it as long as you somehow find a board with ddr3 slots) are a-okay with ddr3 as long as your board supports it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

What's wrong with the AsRock boards?

They where/are problematic.

Had an extreme 4 that dropped memory Chanel A. Was actually a common issue with them.
