Friend having ethernet troubles

Recently my friend is having a situation where he used to get 200 mbps and now is sometimes getting 30 mbps, he has a new cable new internet plan but also isn't sure if his drivers are up to date can someone also tell how to check drivers version

Simply download the latest version from the manufacturer's website after you've checked the make/model in Device Manager. Uninstall the current drivers and install what you downloaded.
