Graphics cards to buy for an i7 3770?

My budget for the graphics card alone is around $150-$200. I am aware of the gpu shortage and if there are really nothing good for my budget I will wait although I would prefer not to.

Country: united states

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: no idea as I’m building it for a friend, but probably should be able to run most older games (1-2 years ago) at 1080p medium - low settings.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I am building this for a friend who wants to buy a computer. I currently have an i7 3770 and 16gb of ddr3 1600mhz ram, as well as a 430watt power supply. I am looking for a graphics card that I could recommend my friend buy in this market.

Thanks for the help!

With that PSU (assuming its a quality one) theres not to much headroom but something like a 1060 6GB would work.

Getting one second hand for an ok price would be another matter tho.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

might need an upgrade, but if it's a good unit then it should do just fine

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

RX 480/580 or RX 470/570 or GTX 1060/1650/1650 super. Whichever is available and is cheaper.
