Which is better 2.4ghz or bluetooth

proxxyys

So I was planning on getting a wireless mouse and it has a feature to choose between 2.4ghz and Bluetooth and I wanted to know what's the difference the 2 (for example; latency, polling rate, so on) and which one would be better for gaming?

Usually bluetooth has better battery life at the cost of higher latency. With 2.4Ghz, you can get mice from companies that have proprietary 2.4Ghz connections that have around 1ms latency. Razer, Corsair, Steelseries, and Logitech are a few that I can think of that have that.

Depending on the device you`re using I would also think of using a dongle or not. For my laptop, I would never get a mouse that requires a dongle (even though I really love my G305).

For gaming 2.4ghz. I would only use a Bluetooth mouse for stuff where latency doesn't matter like web-browsing and productivity tasks.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
