So as a lot of people me and my wife have been working from home for a while now. 

 

My wife has had on and off irritating IT related problems and to be honest the IT set up at her work isn't really that good. 

 

Anyway recently she has had a problem with being disconnected from meetings a lot. She calls IT-support and they immediately go to the "the user is at fault" line of answers. 

 

"Oh your internet may be bad": NO! we have fiber 250/250 connection, also I'm sitting and working from home having none of the issues

"You might have poor Wi-Fi reception, call your ISP and ask them to help change frequencies": NO! isn't the fanciest set up but her laptop has a strong signal and get 866 Mbps through put on 5 GHz, and even further there is no difference if she connects through wired network (and even falling back to 2,4 GHz will have a strong signal but a bit lower through put).  

 

It is your stupid connection solutions and the VPN you provide you stupid IT department that is the problem. I might not have a professional home network, but I do have a god damn good home network. Solve the issues on your end or let my wife (and in extension me) get admin access to her computer and I will fix all of her problems myself. 

 

(her workplace IT department is an external firm that probably has gotten the contract at a lowest bid). 

 

Sorry for wasting all of your time with this rant. I just had to vent.

OK what can I do about it? Or how can it be of any help of sharing this online? I would say you should just get over it but still try to solve the problem without getting angry.
