290 or 780?

So here in my country the price of those 2 cards are pretty the same.
here is the non-reference model

sapphire 290 toxic.

or palit gtx 780 jetstream.

please dont be a fanboy. i need your suggestion and comment also.

im playing at 1080p

They beat each other in different areas, but I would go with the 780.

cards like that are not built for 1080p, You will be holding them back and not getting the best performance from the cards at that resolutions.

 

If we ignore that, Its really down to the games you play.

I would normally say get a 290, but from my experience with that card, I have lost all faith in the 290, I have had so many problems with the drivers, black screens and what not, that I am changing over the the 780 from EVGA. 

 

So I suggest you look around for the version of the 290 you would like, and see if it has any memory issues or not.

The 290X is a worse buy, and runs even warmer than the 290. The 290 at least overclocks decently.
