I do read, thank you.

Ok, and? Do you know how many they've sold, and if they're breaking even on it or not?

Yes, EVGA is an official distributor of graphics cards.

Here's some examples of prices:

3070 MSRP: $500
3090 MSRP: $1500

Our point is that retailers are stupid to not take advantage of the current market. Why sell something for $50 if you can sell it for $150 and it'll get bought anyway? There are absolutely no downsides whatsoever.

Not to mention the HUGE misunderstanding with MSRP.

1) it's a RECCOMENDED price. Not the price you must go by.

2) AMD saying a 6800xt MSRP is $649.99 and Nvidia saying that the 3070 MSRP is $500 is for THEIR SKUs. AIBs are always more expensive. This isn't a thing that just started. Yes the mark up is more, but they're not doing anything new. This is why reference cards have always been shorter stock runs and smaller supply. The 2070(my last GPU) had a MSRP for $499. How many AIBs actually sold theirs for $499? I think my ROG Strix was closer to $650.

This isn't directed at you, just building off your point.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
