Is my GPU dying?

cryogen1c

Everytime I turn on my pc this always happens. It has these weird artifacts and I really don't know what to make of it.

Most of the time the first time it boots it crashes after a few seconds of displaying the artifacts but after it restarts it's fine. I can play whatever games I want and infact I can push it to a 100 percent with no problems.

The gpu is a Palit GTX 1070

This was a used card for mining back in the day

But this doesn't occur any other time other than booting for the first time of the day which I find to be weird

Make sure card's bios is not modded, if it is, flash the original bios and see if that helps.

When u say it was used for mining and its having artifacts now its basically certain its vram. The 24/7 power on state with high voltage and frequency on vram can really degrade it over time

Ping me or quote me in replys ples. Anyone talking about AiOs and trashing people for a front mount watch THIS JAYZTWOCENTS VID because u 99.9% skipped or didnt understand the Gamers Nexus vid...

That's strange.

Are you saying after this occurs for the first time and goes away, you're then able to run a game and/or 3D task without the issue?

PSU Tier List   AMD Motherboard Tier List   SSD Tier List

If your issue is resolved, please share the fix with the community.
