Nvidia GT 1030 vs GTX 750ti

Beorn_Bear

Is the Nvidia GTX 750ti still good for gaming and video transcoding?! I see one on sale for $100 CDN. I currently have an Nvidia 1030. Any opinions? It might be a while before I am able to purchase a Nvidia GTX 1050ti and GTX 1650

It's really not worth getting a 750Ti unless you absolutely need hardware H.264 encoding and are willing to spend $100 pretty much entirely for it, since the 750Ti is only marginally faster stock-for-stock.

I would wait until you can afford a 1050 ti or better, if your gona upgrade dont just get something a little better, unless your gt 1030 is the ddr4 version, if that's the one you have a 750 ti would be a massive improvement. the gddr5 gt 1030 isn't so bad and not much worse than a 750 ti, but the ddr4 version is HALF the performance of the gddr5 1030.

My nvidia Gt 1030 has DDR5. It might take several months before the Nvida GTX 1050ti or 1650 are available.
