will ryzen 5 5600  come anytime soon ?

Is usually available for $299 if you're looking hard enough. If I were gonna spend that much I'd just get the 5900x though.

I can't say for sure because I can't read the future, but my guess is yes.

I was browsing Amazon UK last week and saw that Intel series 10 chips had taken a big drop in price now that series 11 was on sale. AMD chips have a minor price drop now a delivery of the latest gen has arrived. So Intel has the price edge atm.

If this is the same in the USA I think now would be a good time to buy a high end series 109xx, and ignore the more expensive 11th gen. It should be more than ok for current games and be reasonable I'm thinking for moderate settings in AAA games in 5 years.

Getting a Gfx card will your bottle neck for a few years anyhow.

If you use it, yeah it will be a loss. If you never use it....it's not useful

there's no performance difference between them if the iGPU isn't in use.

Most users never need the iGPU.

It should boost to 4.2ghz all core most of the time, and as long as cooling is good and you don't hit the power limit.

If you leave it at stock settings it will only body to max 4.2ghz for a limited time, then throttle down some. But you can remove the power limit in almost all motherboards and it will stay at 4.2ghz and just consume more power.

Hard to say without knowing the specific quality, but if its a good 550 unit you shouldn't worry about your CPU at all.

It's going to be more dependent on what GPU you'll be using.
