As the title says. The bottom right corner of my mobo is bent/broken. I imagine it was caused in shipping however I can't return it because this was back in July when I was getting ahead of the game to have parts ready. I was stupid and didn't check each part to make sure it was ok and today I was finally building my pc and saw this. Any chance it may still work or would I be better off buying a whole new mobo? As I said, it's been over half a year since I had ordered it so returning/refunding isn't much of an option.

Oh...jeez.... the PCB is actually cracked.

Those copper traces are probably dead then.

Start an RMA with the motherboard manufacturer directly.

There is a good likelihood the traces in that corner of the board are broken. Depending on if those traces are needed or not, the board may work, or not work.. or worse.

Personally I wouldn't use the board, but that is totally up to you.

Because the board was bought in July, all the warranty stuff may be quite annoying.

Where I live, the store you bought the product from is responsible for the warranty (for the entire warranty period) and they're also responsible for shipping damages.

Of course with this being a close to a year later, it makes the situation a lot more complicated.

I kind of doubt the manufacturer would pick this up as a warranty piece too. They aren't the ones responsible for shipping damages and have no idea to know (for sure) if that was actually caused in shipping or afterwards.

If you live in a place where the manufacturer is responsible for warranty requests and such, submitting an RMA is probably your best bet.

From the looks of it, it doesn't have anything important in that area, so you probably can still use it.
