MSI GeForce® GTX 1650 4GB dual monitor help

TouCanCreg

Apologies I'm very new to PC stuff, how would I go about hooking up two monitors to my PC I have a MSI GTX 1650, I've attached a picture of the ports on the back, I only have one HDMI port and I'm not sure what the other two are. I've tried to find information on this but for some reason I haven't been able to find anything useful..

My assumption would be a HDMI splitter? Also what are the two other ports there?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

one is dvi one is displayport. do your monitors only support hdmi? if yes, you'll need an adapter from one of the other ports

I'm guessing both of your monitors only have HDMI ports?
You've got a perfectly fine and empty Display Port right next to the HDMI port on your GPU.
Check if your monitor supports DP, if not the simplest thing would be to buy an HDMI do DP adapter (10-15$).

An HDMI splitter won't work, if your 2nd monitor doesn't have a display port you'll need an adaptor.

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind when I pick the new monitor. Is there any benefit of one of those ports over the other?

DisplayPort can support higher resolutions and refresh rates than DVI can (most of the time), plus DisplayPort cables are easier to attach and detach than DVI.

yep, displayport is the most modern, with higher bandwidth etc.
