Hey,

excellent thanks for the time and knowledge! First custom pc so the paranoia kicked in! Much appreciated.

thanks,

I know how it goes, let me know if you have any other questions or issues (or just post here, tons of smart people on the forum.)

Hey, just got my new pc setup, was wondering if it is necessary for me to buy a rear fan to act as an exhaust?

case is corsair 220t with 3 front fans, cpu coolermaster hyper 212 120mm. Placed on a metal stand to allow better flow for the psu.

any thoughts would be great!

You don't "need" one, but one at the back probably wouldn't hurt. Can you confirm your CPU cooler fan is blowing in a push configuration(i.e. pushing air through the fins)?

Hey,

gotcha thanks! Not entirely sure about the config as this is a PCSpecialist custom build. It does look like a push?

The fan should have an arrow along the outside edge pointing in the direction of the airflow. I would also install some sort of monitoring hardware to check your CPU temps, but I honestly doubt you'll be in bad shape. If you confirm the fan is blowing air into the fins, then the positive pressure should keep everything else cool enough. Are you planning to do any overclocking?

Looking closer at your photo it looks like you have that fan set up properly. I wouldn't worry about it, you can always add one if you want, but with three intakes on the front pushing air towards the back of the case you shouldn't have any issues.

Hi,

arrow is pointing towards the fins. I have some monitoring apps like the ryzen master for temp checks. Not overclocking no.

pull the top front intake fan and put it as exhaust in the back.
