Comet Lake CPUs are only PCIE3.0. It doesn't matter.

Hey guys!

After i finally got my broken 3070 back from the producer it works fine. Now i just want to activate PCIE 4.0 on my Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X. 

 

But i just cant find it. I already updated to the newest BIOS which is out. And this MOBO has PCIE 4.0^^

i9 10850k

RTX 3070 PNY

32gb Corsair Vengance @ 3400MHz

It seems you are already running at PCIE4.0 X16. So what exactly are you trying to do?

Just saw that CPU-Z says that, ´but my bios says 3.0

Confirm with GPUZ, make sure you click that question mark next to the "PCIE Interface".

It isn't; it's showing the card is capable of PCIE4x16, but it is running at PCIE3.0x16. Mouseover that portion and read the tooltip after launching the test.
