Linus told me to come here

Carson.C

I was told by Linus to come here after watching his latest video roasting people's setups. I am not one of those people in his video but I feel like I also fall into the category.

I have bought majority of my parts last year (CPU, RAM, PSU, etc) But due to chip shortages I am unable to get my hand on any graphics cards. After hearing what Linus has said about returning the parts if they weren't working. I am afraid that's not gonna be able to happen as I've bought the parts last year during Black Friday

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me to find some? I know it's a big ask but sometime you've gotta try

PS: I live in the UK

Unfortunately you'll just need to do what everyone else is doing; keep checking the major retailer websites and stores for stock. You can try gumtree and Facebook marketplace for people selling their old graphics cards, but be careful of scams.

What sort of graphics card were you hoping to buy?

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Not to be an ass, but Linus can't exactly help out every single person who watches his channel and bought everything minus a GPU just as things went tits up.

You're just gonna have to play the waiting game like everyone else or stalk the used market for an old card that is still halfway competent.

While you won't be able to return the faulty components to the reseller for a full refund, you will still have the opportunity to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from the component's manufacturer, assuming you have proof of purchase. It is fairly typical for component manufacturers to offer warranties ranging anywhere from three years to the entire lifetime of the product.
