Excelvan PSUs?

Heil_Jada

Has anyone ever heard of Excelvan PSUs? Someone near me is selling a 1000w Excelvan PSU for a decent price and I want to know if it is a decent PSU, I know its not a top tier unit but was wondering if there was anyone who has had experience with this brand? The guy has no info other than whats on the Box and the box does say its 80+ efficient (Im assuming its 80+ white as thats the lowest 18+ tier) But If any of you has had bad experiences with this brand Ill steer clear

I personally wouldn't use an Excelvan PSU if someone gave it to me for free. Just wouldn't want to risk it. What are your entire PC specs? Considering that you are looking at 1000W I would assume you aren't running a low-end or mid tier system. If this is indeed the case, just invest in a good quality power supply.

Excelvan

A quick lookup, doesn't look like a pc brand, more like a home appliance.

Brand like this doesn't make it's own psu, it sourcing it elsewhere.

If it source it from top OEM like seasonic or superflower, then you're lucky.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

I've seen that PSU before under different names being sold in bulk from Chinese websites. They're really bad knock-offs of the Corsair RMx. Avoid.

No idea what's the OEM and while it doesn't look like a complete disaster, it's still cheap as fuck. Usual mining PSU. I mean, if it's for a budget system and it's very cheap i'd give it a shot but don't put it in line with other (good) 1kW PSUs.

No it doesnt look like that at all, But as that looks like a newer, and beefier PSU in general I think Ill steer clear of the one being sold locally.

After looking closer to the picture the guy put for the item, It looks like he bought the Excelvan PUS and threw his old one in the box to try and scam someone, After inquiring if he had more pictures or a model/serial number, He ignored the requests bout 3 times then proceeded to say he had it in his storage unit.
