What's more important? Intake or exhaust?

Yeah, you're right. I've been looking at some fans lately, and this one really caught my eyes https://www.arctic.de/en/P12/ACFAN00118A . Would you recommend anything else?

i have 5 of those in my current rig. You really cannot beat them for the price. Silent operation and good enough static pressure for most usecases.

I have only 1 fan in my case so far, right now its orientated as exhaust, but my GPU temps are pretty high (79.7c in valley and 80.9c in heaven). Since both of my GPU fans are intake, would reinstalling my fan to the intake orientation significantly improve the temperatures?

Edit: the fan is at the back, 1264rpm is its full speed

Cant have one without the other... 😉

Balance is key.

Sounds like you more need a 2nd fan.

You will get more help if you sketch out the situation. Every case is different.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Intake. As long as you are pushing front to back you will always have continuous airflow. I am running 3 intake at the front, 1 exhaust at the rear. I also have to top taped off. Works pretty good..

AMD R9 5900X | Thermalright Aqua Elite 360, 3x TL-B12, 2x TL-K12

Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3733C14

Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC @ 3045/1495 | WD SN850, SN850X

Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 | Fractal Torrent Compact, 2x TL-B14

Actually, if CPU is using stock cooler, 1 fan setup should be exhaust. Getting rid of hot air is more important.
