GPU related issue, but you forgot to mention which GPU? Its pretty much telling that either connection on PCIe side is lost midway or driver is crashing. And considering this started after new mobo, have you tried to reseat GPU yet?

I was getting that error with anything more than a tiny GPU overclock (like over +15Mhz and it would freak).

I have also heard of some people needing to underclock their card if they have an "OC" edition to get it back to original speeds.

Which model?  Is it factory over clocked?

Some games don't like overclocks,  and a factory overclock is still an overclock, you could try reducing core frequency about 100 and maybe even memory about 50 and see how that goes.

Try updating the mobo BIOS

I know this tread is old, but I just had same error pop out.
I have rx470 but you can try on nvidia as well. Apparently, the fix is to enable GPU Scaling.
I enabled it and sice haven't had single issue.

GPU Scaling.

what is this supposed to be anyway? im nvcp, in game settings?  i dunno i never really touched this...

and maybe, but as i already said some games just hate overclocks... when i oc my vram just +100 it keeps crashing randomly,  without oc it never crashes and other games my vram is "stable" at +500 🤔

Idk. After I applied fix I mentioned above, it worked flawlessly for a couple of days and then it started again. Another fix I found is to go to Documents/Overwatch/Settings and delete settings file. This will delete all graphics settings that are applied and when you start the game, It'll run on recommended settings.
After I done this, I haven't changed anything except fps limit and it still works without any problems to this day.

I guess you can try changing one setting at the time and thinker with the game.

I never tried OC my GPU so I don't know much about that 😄
