Because I didn't find a case with the specs I'm looking for

that is a good reason. if you were looking for a case with a top mounted IO then there would not have been that many. there are a few but not many that are worth naming. 

 

might i suggest you just hang the compontents from the ceiling with string like a normal person who wants a custom case? LOL

After I finish 90% of my design in CAD, the actual final cost, well over 1000usd if not 2, made me just stop designing it, altogether. In the end it was just therapeutic to learn CAD, get the design out of my head, and at least see what I had been dreaming about.
