Does DDU clear VGA BIOS?

This would be useful information, since i have a factory "overclock" on my GPU and im trying to get rid of it in order to find out what my CTD issue is.. and i have a feeling it might be that.

 

So does DDU clear VGA BIOS or just purely wipes all the drivers and settings?

 

If it does not clear VGA BIOS, is there a way i could get rid of the factory overclock?

DDU stands for display driver uninstaller. That's basically what it does, nothing else to my knowledge.

Flash a different BIOS if you can. I doubt it's the factory OC causing your issues though.

I think i'll just take your word on that.. Do you have any ideas in mind what could be causing this issue then?

 

It happens only when gaming, the timing is always very random (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 5 hours), it doesn't give any like error pop-up window, it doesn't happen at a specific location in the game, the temperatures are fine, there is barely any load on the GPU or CPU because most of the time i got VSync ON, i tried disabling all third-party programs.. like i'm seriously lost here, for the first time in my life

It will not. Some cards have tiny switches to select which bios to use (read the manual). Usually a factory OC is safe to use and pretty well tested. Your issue, whatever they might be, could stem from a number of reasons including unstable drivers, not enough ventilation, dust buildup, old thermal paste, a failing or weak power supply, a buggy game.... etc.

This has to be one of my worst issues that i ran into. Thank you for sharing the info though.

You can just downclock the gpu a little with afterburner.  If you look it up you should even be able to set it completely to Nvidia / AMD default settings.

Actually,  to my dismay, it appears to also delete AMD chipset drivers by default if you uninstall AMD GPU drivers,  which is just dumb, if true...
