Can I build my pc without my GPU?

Hello everyone, 

 

Sorry if this is off-topic. Just didnt know where to create this thread. So, I have all my parts needed for my pc except my gpu. My cpu is a ryzen 5 3600X and the gpu is an RX 6800 gaming oc, which will probably take some time to arrive here because of the gpu demand. Maybe 2 weeks or even up to a month, as I have been informed. Is it possible to build my pc without the gpu and just add my gpu later on, when I get it? I dont wanna mess anything up so I just wanna be 100% sure first. My monitor will be 1440p and my motherboard will be a B550 A PRO, from msi. Will I be able to run any low requirement games? Watch movies?

Unfortunately not, and that's one of the main reasons I'd go Intel right now, aside from the generally lower price. They generally have iGPUs.

I think of iGPUs as backups in case your dGPU dies...

Personally I want to discourage Coin Mining as much as possible.

Depends how you look at it. You're using an awful lot of power and producing nothing of value, other than the cash.

If you work any job, you're contributing to something somehow. You're not when you're mining.
