Ok, can i also play minecraft on 10-20 FPS? It’s a lot to ask but yea.

Depends on your resolution really, but Minecraft (without shaders or mods) is super easy to run so I'd imagine so. Linux does run Minecraft significantly better than Windows does as well

What model number Celeron? If it's an old single core low power Celeron from the early 2000s, probably not. At least not MS Minecraft. The original one could probably work. Can you give us more specs on your hardware like the motherboard you are using or the model name an number of your computer if it's a production model.

Honestly modern versions of Minecraft are getting harder to run, here are minimum system requirements now:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Spoiler

    • CPU: Intel Core i3-3210 3.2 GHz / AMD A8-7600 APU 3.1 GHz or equivalent
    • RAM: 4GB
    • GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Ivy Bridge) or AMD Radeon R5 series (Kaveri line) with OpenGL 4.4*
    • GPU (Discrete): Nvidia GeForce 400 Series or AMD Radeon HD 7000 series with OpenGL 4.4
    • HDD: At least 1GB for game core, maps and other files
    • OS:
    • - Windows: Windows 7 and up
    • - macOS: Any 64-bit OS X using 10.9 Maverick or newer
    • - Linux: Any modern 64-bit distributions from 2014 onwards
    • Internet connectivity is required for downloading Minecraft files, afterwards offline play is possible.

I know but at a resolution like 720p it won't be nearly as hard to run

Honestly Windows 10 Edition Minecraft runs better because it's more optimized, and has been rewritten for mobile devices.

It's likely going to be barely double digits without optifine, but installing optifine you might be able to get into the mid 20s.

It really doesn't, Linux runs better because it's less intensive on PC components, maybe on a higher end system it'd run better on Windows, but for a low spec PC, no doubt it'll run better on Linux.

Just a source I found very quickly, but this shows the difference

I had the original minecraft runing on an Intel Atom N230 processor. Not great but it was playable with 1 GB of RAM on Windows XP. That was a  single core HT processor. A Celeron would have been an upgrade. I am not sure about the new minecraft. The old one could run at 320x240 resolution and 16 bit color to save on resources.

I think you can install the x86 version of raspberry pi OS which natively runs on even weaker ARM hardware. Not the flashiest, but fine for web surfing, watching movies and basic tasks.

If you need better MC performance on any OS, this is the best performance mod list that I know: Fabric Mod Loader, Sodium-fabric, Lithium-fabric, Phosphor-fabric. You could also substitute Phosphor-fabric with Starlight for less stable, but higher general performance.
