Now that the titan z is on its way lets re-evaulate the top of the line mac pro vs top of the line pc.

Lil Chillbil

No price tags, unlimited moneyz the whole thread is the prove a mute point that the guy on facebook who I talk to is plain wrong that a pc can't be in the same ballpark as a 100% maxed out mac pro.

should be quite fun as well to see how crazy we can get using the confirmed titan z with the assumed price of 3 grand per gpu.

As well, Apple is using AMD because they basically made up a GPU for them and they have a few old higher up employees who work at AMD.

A 780 is more than I will ever spend on a build. :3 I can barely afford an i3 right now.

Um... yes really, the AMD D700 is not commercially available besides being inside the Mac Pro, as well as there are former Apple employees that now work at AMD and have been noted to keep relations with Apple.

So insecure when it comes to Apple. You sound like a whiney school girl trying to talk shit about the best looking girl in school. Just get over it. Let it go. There doesn't have to be this made up war between windows and apple. Posts like this make me ashamed to be leaving apple pc's. Who knew a bunch of grown men could be so caddy when it comes to another brand.

It may be the same core, but the point still stands that it is sort of "unique" in the fact that it is Apple exclusive.

Don't listen to him, the guy is probably some random asshole trying to get the best of you.

As for the topic, I don't know. On one hand, yes, a high end PC would beat a Mac Pro but on the other hand, a high end Mac Pro is for a specific user. Surely someone considering a Mac Pro or a Dell Poweredge wouldn't be building their own PC.
