Are Gateron Blue switches good?

Meowster
Go to solution Solved by minibois,

They are Cherry clones, specifically Cherry MX Blue clones.

Opinions on them differ.

I think they are similar to Cherry MX Blue, others disagree with that.

What it does come down to, is if you would like a Cherry MX style clicky switch, which if course is a matter of opinion.

So in conclusion: they are just fine for what they are. A clicky MX style switch. Maybe you'll like then, maybe you won't.

So I was browsing on banggood today and I found a cheap keyboard that has Gateron blue switches. So what exactly are gateron switches? I've never heard of them

The keyboard also supports hot swappable switches which I think is neat.

So, can someone explain what are Gateron switches? Are they any different than Cherry switches?

I do quite like clicky switches like the ones I had in my previous keyboard before my cat knocked it off the desk 😞 That's why I was looking for a cheap keyboard in the meantime whilst I get my old keyboard fixed
