Title has stopped working.

NutronSe7en

A strange occurrence has recently showed itself on my PC, when I attempt to open almost anything on my computer aside from a select few apps, I will get the error message "_____ has stopped working" etc. This is a recent thing as said before, and I don't know what I may have done to cause this. I've ran a virus scan through windows defender, I've tried uninstalling bloat ware, restarted my pc numerous time, updated drivers, etc. This previously was a minor inconvenience preventing me from using things like Spotify, but now I can't even uninstall/ install just about anything because it will instantly stop working. When I was having this issue with Spotify I uninstalled and reinstalled it but the problem persisted. Does anyone know what is happening? Is it an OS issue? Any help is appreciated.

Try stopping your PC, pulling out all but 1 stick of memory. Keep testing them until you find the one causing you trouble.

I have tried both ram modules on their own and the problem persisted still. I don't know if it is the ram because some things still work like discord, chrome and a couple games.

Alright.

Have you tried checking windows' general health?

In an elevated command prompt try typing:

sfc /scannow

I got this:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

Could be memory - not every app adresses the same bits on a ram stick so some may work fine while others don't. to me this sounds more like failing hard-drive tho, or even the motherboard since USB also makes issues.

What's the status of your nVME drive? Health-wise.

often parts fail very early on because they were faulty from the get go so this isn't all too important

What would be more important is specs (every part in the pc)?

ps: also can you post the sfc log?

with a bit of luck that tells us something.

CrystalDiskInfo would be one way

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
