First Mini-itx build

Gigachip

OK. Well I decided to build a mini-itx rig recently. Actually built it in March during spring break. Just barely getting around to posting it :)

I intended it to be my mobile rig, so I could take home when I'm not in school. Some of it is out of parts laying around too :D.

Anyway here are the specs.

Case:  CM Elite 120

CPU: i7-2600k (I had it sitting around from upgrading main rig to 3rd gen i7)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz @ 1333 2x4 for 8gb

Motherboard: Asus P8H77-i I didn't need the overclocking features on this one. Temps will varry too much to want to worry about it.

PSU: Rosewill 750W 80Bronze. Another spare from upgrade earlier this year.

GPU: Visiontek Radeon HD 7970

Storage: OCZ 120 gb SSD/ Seagate 1tb SSHD

Day one when I got the case

I stipped out all cables to prep for minor drilling

Primer is going on (I forgot to take a photo of main colors being painted. Partially because at the time I didn't want friends to know color scheme.

Components going in. (the H70 isn't as bad as it looks in there. And its already spent 7 hours on the road and nothings bad happened. Temps are great too)

Here it is hooked up to my TV (46")for couch gaming. (I routed a xbox wireless reciever to the inside so it'd clean up the wires on the outside.)

and my monitor when I go back home (if I can't use my parents tv) Or when I go on a road trip (think its a 19")

Awesome color scheme and good cable management for being non-modular.

keep up the good work, sometimes people think painting a piece of plastic is impossible. Nice to see more people destroying warranties with their builds.

I love the colours especially on the painted graphics card, black and red has definitely grown old for me on radeon cards :D.

Thank you all for the kind words over the build :D . Sorry if I responded late, was going to respond yesterday, but got sick :(

not really noticable. I wouldn't say its loud, but my definition of loud might differ from others. If it helps I have a build with cougars in it, and its louder than this build.

Very nice. Custom paint looks great. You should do some custom sleeved cables to really put it over the top.

That color scheme is amazing!!!! I was curious where you were going with and then i scrolled down..................."DUUUUUUUDE!!!!!"! I litterally yelled that out haha. I love that blue and white combo. I was going to go with that case and mod the front to house an AIO water cooler and decided on the Node 304 instead. I might buy one of those and mod the crap out of it anyway. I mean, 50 bux? How could you NOT buy that case.

Anyway, GREAT build man!
