MSI MPG A650GF vs Corsair TX650M Gold

_lucalink

I am building a new system and im trying to decide what PSU to use. I will be using a RX5700 and a 3600 so need at least 650w. I can get a Corsair TX650M gold psu for £76.99 or a MSI MPG A650GF for £79.99. They're both 650w, 80 plus gold units. The corsair one is semi modular and the msi one is fully modular. I really need some help deciding which one to get.

It doesn’t really matter if you want to add sleeved cables without using extensions I would recommend getting the msi

The MSI MPG A650GF was only released in August last year and has no real reviews, even good brands can make bad units. I liked the Evga G2/G3 yet would never touch the W units with a 10 foot pole.

finally escaped fm2+

So you're suggesting the OP should be the experimental guinea pig for a mystery box PSU?

Also your "people have to buy it for it to get reviews" argument is fallacious anyway, because user reviews on Amazon and the like are basically worthless. We need professional reviews from people who actually understand PSU hardware, not "My PC hasn't blown up yet, seems fine, four stars outta five, derp de derp derp."

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

thats not how it works. There are guys like Aris who reviews psus.

Normal consumer and pc builder's reviews are usually pretty pointless.

I am sure that iw will be reviewed sooner or later by PROFESSIONALS

you can call it opinion, but I call it misinformed opinion if that makes any sense. People should recommend psus with professional reviews and mainly psus that are on our tier list.

as @Middcoresaid its a fact that people should trust posus that are prosessionally reviewed. That is a fact. Your opinion is "buy wahtever crap otherwise it is not reviewed". While that is your opinion which I do respect, its just misinformed and it should change.

Everybody can have opinion, but like everybody opinion that do not make sense should be changed for the sake of people asking for help

Yes, it's your opinion, I don't think anyone was under the impression it was a message from God carved on a stone tablet. But when people point out why your opinion is poorly thought out, and you respond with "well it's my opinion and I'm not changing it no matter what," then you're just telling everybody it's not worth talking to you and that your advice should be ignored.

Your statement that "they're both from good brands" reveals you really don't know much, if anything, about PSU's, because brand doesn't matter much at all. You don't need to reply if you're not knowledgeable about the topic someone is looking for advice on, and in fact in that case you probably shouldn't. It's admirable to want to help but if you just chime in without having relevant knowledge you could end up setting someone on the wrong path. Better to stay quiet and try to learn and then in the future you can make contributions that are more helpful.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe.
