When will RTX 3080 be available retail?

hazeyez

Anyone have the slightest clue on when RTX3080's will be available to purchase via retail?

Do we keep having to play this cat and mouse game with retailers vs scalpers?

It's such a shame that if I want one, I have to pay double the price on ebay.

No. I've heard speculation of late summer 2021, but I doubt this is realistic.

Your best bet to grab a 3070/3080/3090 FE on Best Buy during one of their drops. They normally drop on Tuesdays (most commonly), Thursdays, or Fridays every two weeks from 11AM-1PM. There are Discord servers to notify you when a drop happens. I've gotten both a 3070 FE (1/5, 11:45AM) and 3080 FE (2/9, 11:15AM) from Best Buy.

The problem is just that the card is in such high demand, with little to no information to the stores/suppliers on when they get new cards. I don't even think scalpers are the main issue, although an issue yes.

I doubt we will see the current line-up for anywhere near MSRP at all, it will take a whole bunch of new supply and a "Super/Ti/4000" series to really get something going again.

Unless you're planning on playing at 4K, a 1080 Ti is still an excellent card.
