Yea you can easily add a ftp server to windows, id advoid ftp due to the lack of security, scp is better, or use sftp atleast.

Hi recently i discover this video from LTT channel

showing a solution to virtualize Windows 10 via Unraid.

My pc at home its a i6800k + 64Gb Ram + GTX1070 8Gb vram..

i use this PC for rendering archiviz 3d stuff

but i need to have some NAS functionalities to access from the office

without loosing 3d power..

also i need a solid system to avoid unexpected errors

so i would like to ask if this solution about installing unraid then a VM of win10

its a practical solution... and if it could reduce the 3d performance of my machine..

Thanks a lot

Why not just leave windows 10 on the hardware, and make a network share in windows? You can easily make a network share in windows under folder properties.

You can also use storage spaces to manage raid if you want to use multiple disks.

What protocols do you want to use?

Id probalby setup a vpn between the networks, and then use the sharing with smb over the vpn. Pretty easy to setup, secure, and reasonble speed.
