$899 NZD Samsung 4k Monitor

meringu

So this incredibly cheap 4k monitor just apeared on Playtech. The only other 4k monitor on the site is the Asus one for four thousand dollars (ironically 4k for $4k). The release date for the Samsung is the 6th of may. I was waiting for an IPS 4K monitor... but this is as cheap as the IPS 1440x2560 monitors. I would like to hear what you guys think. I am seriously considering it. Here is the Samsung website (although the product numbers differ slightly)

Where are the rules? It says 60hz at 4k on a German website I found and Google translated.

I was going to preorder on on ComputerLounge (also $899) however it turns out I just missed their stocktake 8% off everything coupon :(

They do have 8% off everything coupons quite often so hopefully I'll preorder one once another coupon pops up.

I need more SSDs.

pre ordered this on amazon earlier this week. as soon as I pull it out of the box I will write a review for you guys <3

it is also worth noting that this panel is capable of 1 billion colors without dithering (from what Ive read) making it a true 10 bit tn panel.

Pre-ordered one from Computerlounge.

Yes it maybe a TN panel, but I don't really care for an IPS panel. I am not a professional, I don't rely on accurate colours, the "Viewing angle" is just fine. I look at my monitor dead on anyway.

The screen real estate is what I'm looking for. Plus if I decide to run some games, TN panels have a greater response time.
