How much should cheapest model scalped 3070 cost?

TheNuzziNuzz

I don't want one of the fancy aftermarket cards. Curious what I should be looking for in terms of the ones that retail for closer to $600 instead of $800 retail.

What do you mean by that? Are you asking how much the lower-tier GPUs are sold at by the manufacturer? How much it should be scalped by a third party for?

scalped. The clostest microcenter to me is an hour away, so I will hapily pay $100-$200 to not have to wait in in the cold or drive that far.

Cards such as the FE, MSI ventus 2x, zotac twin edge, ect. usually are scalped at around $700-$800 USD new, Sometimes a little less, and perhaps $600-$650+ Used.

Hmm really? In my area a 3070 for $850 probably wouldn't sell at all, unless It's a "higher-tier" card such as a xc3, tuf gaming, whatever.

ya local's prolly different, 800 is a good deal right now if you just mine with it part time.

Can't mine here with electric cost. $800-$900 is what they are going for locally. I think I should wait.

Really? Post tarif?

Microcenter (an hour away from me) shows a 3070 for $775 before tax. That seems like way to much but the local listings are even higher. I thought they retailed for half that.

Yeah, it was around the middle of January if I'm not mistaken. Best Buy still has the RTX 3060ti/3070 FE cards at old MSRP:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-ti-8gb-gddr6-pci-express-4-0-graphics-card-steel-and-black/6439402.p?skuId=6439402

When they come in stock, you have a 2-step "Add to cart" system so you have to wait to click add to cart again. Then once it's in, buy it as quickly as possible.

I had a 3060ti in my cart but didn't get it, but several of my online buddies on another forum scored them.

Allegedly AMD will be selling more reference 6800/6800XT's soon. So keep a look out. Try to search for Discord servers and twitch streams that do live in stock alerts.
