Should i buy Ram or GPU first?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

GPU would make a bigger difference, but it's a really bad time to buy a GPU.

If you're planning on upgrading both anyway, go for RAM now and then once prices aren't insane, upgrade the GPU.

Curently i am rocking: r5 5600x(not overclocked), 16gb-2400mhz (2x8 sticks) of ram, and a gtx 1660 6gb oc.

I am a budget gamer and wonders if i should buy: 16gb-3600mhz first or a rtx 2060/3060 graphics crad instead?

It would mean allot if someone helped me to choose between these two🙏. This in mind to get higher FPS in games like PUBG for example.

Definitely go for the RAM now, the GPU would be an awesome upgrade but frankly you're just not going to be able to find anything at the current moment.

Er... You're quoting the wrong person

Depends on the sticks of 3600 (comes down to CAS timings). Ryzen favors high frequency RAM that will deliver more performance and higher FPS.

Depends on the CPU. If you're talking about basically any ryzen cpu or a 10th/ (upcoming) 11th gen intel cpu, yeah, getting faster ram will have a decently large impact, but you need to keep in mind if you have xmp enabled, the cas latency of the ram, how many ranks it has (not that big of a deal though), ect.
