Old school case modding, Rock on dude, I remember these days, Using CC tubes, and going down the local electronics store for LED's to custom make LED strips. Still got the burn scars on my hands from the soldering iron. Oh the fun.

I actually just did a "softie" mod to this case so that the front fan would be quieter and have better airflow. I just cut out the mest behind it the same size as the back of the fan (roughly). Again, using wire cutters.

Depends on how cheap you can get this stuff. The VooDoo would probably cost considerably more nowadays.

Small update: Since I stole the CX430M, I'll do some better cable management on the old beast (right now it's horrid), and I did put in a CD drive. Now all that's left are round cables and a floppy drive.

The PSU clearly says Dell on it though. Is Gateway owned by Dell? I don't mean the PSU in the case, I mean the long and thin one that looks like a metal version of a GTX 285 reference cooler.

It's an Astek PSU.

Yeah that one. Mine's a benchtop psu now. Clipped off the original connectors and attached alligator clips. Can be handy.
