No because Nvidia consumer GPUs only support 4 displays max, and 4 + your laptop display = 5

How can one connect 4 monitors to a laptop? A laptop with the ne w RTX 30XX series that is. 

What would be needed or how would this setup look like? Via Thunderbolt? Display Port? HDMI? or is a docking station needed?

If you need extra monitors for basic display only (text, some basic graphics etc), you could add USB video cards, they'll be seen as separate video cards from your rtx30xx series card.
