I built my pc almost 2 months back, but has felt kind of laggy and not completely smooth

bloodpact99

I built my pc pack in November, but ever since I haven't felt my computer completely smooth, specially while playing games. When playing games it freezes for few seconds. Even when using applications like excel or word it still freezes for few times. did I do something wrong when building my pc (first time ever doing so), or the components are faulty? I have tried updating all drivers, checking for memory problems, but still no luck on finding the problem.

My specs are:

Ryzen 5 3600 XT

16 Gb Ram @ 3200 MHz

500 GB and 1TB SSD M.2

Motherboard Asus B550M-A Prime

Monitor ASUS VG24V @ 144Hz

GPU: Saphire Raedon RX 5600XT from

PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX-650w plus gold

RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz

Both RAM sticks are running in dual-channel as specified in the motherboard (position A1-B2)

Any XMP profiles?

Also ram is usually every 2 slot. And usually the MOBO recommends using the 2 slots. So A2 and B2....

But yes try running the ram stock without XMP and test both sticks separatly.

You can turn off XMP profiles in BIOS settings refer to you motherboard manual.

By testing the memory sticks one by one I was referring to trying to take out one of the stick running the system see if the errors keep happening. Then try the other stick.
