Can I just leave my ARGB header unplugged? Default lighting mode?

Just as title says, What happens if I do not connect my ARGB header and leave it unplugged? Will the fans have a default lighting mode or just not light up at all?

depends on the implementation

 

some will light up as default, some wont light up

but you can definitely leave it unplugged, it wont damage anything

just make sure the connector is well secured and not flopping around, that might short or damage things like fan blades

Depends on the fan, but most aRGB fans I encountered will simply not light up.

Continuing on depends. If you buy kit with hub which would then control to mobo. Then you could do without connecting to mobo since hub is still getting power. But for RGB fans the RGB connection carries power for LEDs. If you don't connect it, you don't get lights.
