Should I change my PSU?

I have an XFX 750Watt XXX power supply that I bought back in 2016. It has been used initially in a system comprising of a core i7 6700k with a RX480 and later a Vega 56.

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-xfx-xxx-hybrid-modular-80plus-bronze-1x135mm-atx-v22-psu

Back in August I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 3700x and a 2nd hand RTX 2080Super but kept the same power supply.

I will be upgrading to an RTX 3070 soon and I wanted to know if it makes sense to change the PSU as well, mainly because it is getting old.

The system also has one 2TB HDD, 1 SSD, 2x nVMe drives and 5x120mm fans

While 750W is enough power, the primary concern here is the quality of this unit and how it would hold up with voltage spikes etc. I highly recommend upgrading if you are getting a 3070. Not worth keeping a cheap PSU that could potentially damage your hardware.

Refer to this list:

For a 3700x / 3070 build I would recommend no less than a Tier A unit, and 750W is more than enough. (Current PSU it Tier C)

I can personally recommend either of these:

The wattage should be fine for your new build so in that regard it's completely fine. However, if you want something with higher efficiency and better quality, then yes, go ahead and change it.

So if I am reading this list correctly a Corsair RM850x is tier A

What is your opinion on the Corsair PSU? I kind of want a white PSU as the build is white

The RM850X is great PSU. I have a Corsair RM1000i in my personal rig and another Corsair SF600 in the wife's computer, their PSUs, particularly in the price range that you are looking at are great. There is a white version of the RM850X -> https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/Power-Supply-Units-Advanced/RMx-Series-White/p/CP-9020188-NA

Super Flower also have some white PSUs, which are good quality under their Leadex lineup, might be worth looking into.

Yes the RMx is a Tier A PSU with 10-year warranty, I have owned several Corsair PSU's over the years, including an RMx, all of which have served me well and issue free. I can highly recommend the RMx.

It comes in an all white versions with white sleeved cables as well. So while it is a price premium (only £10 right now),  if you wanted to buy sleeved cables anyways it justifies the minor price increase.
