Does anyone have any experience with Athena Power?

I'm looking at the Athena Power AP-RRPS2K20. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Also, can I safely convert SATA to MOLEX? If so, what adapter would you recommend? Also, what power cables do you recommend?

Thanks.

LTT has a very nice thread on which PSUs are quality, if it's not on that list, chances are it's a bad PSU.

As to safely converting SATA to molex? Have a look at this:

damnit; I just posted the same thread as a comment to someone else!

I don't thinks it's a bad PSU because I saw it in New Whonnock...

I can't say, I didn't create the thread, but you would probably get a better response if you asked in that thread....

You mean the one that has a hundred sixty two pages? I think this thread will get a response much faster...

Fair enough, time will tell I suppose. I've never heard of the brand.

I wouldn't recommend it. The SATA connector isn't really meant for high current draw and adapters are always a bad idea.

What are you trying to power? How many power connectors (molex and other) do you need?

Are you referring to the community made PSU tier list? That does not include server power supplies.

Read the pinned message at the top of the tier list...

There's an entire subforum dedicated to discussing power supplies. Don't just tell people to look at the PSU tier list (especially for something that isn't covered in the list!) and don't tell people to post there if they want to ask questions about power supplies. If all you have to add is "check the PSU tier list" you're just wasting everyone's time and would be better off not posting at all.
