Logging on to friend's computer who is banned in a mc server

Ok, so to get started I am over at a buddy's house, using his computer. He is banned on a minecraft server on his account. I am not banned on mine, and have played it on my pc several times. If I log in to his computer so I can play on the server, is it going to ban me too because of his IP ban?

So essentially avoid his pc like the plague. That's what I assumed

Actually "avoid his network". Even If you bring your own PC to his home, you'll still have the same public IP when connecting anywhere, so you'd still be blocked.

its not like his pc is banned, just the ip he uses to connect to said mc server

ok thanks for the advice, saved me there, and I really don't want to take the time to setup a vpn, so just going to play another server

known cancerous player. I haven't taught him how to use a vpn for that reason

Depends on how their stuff is setup.

Unless they specifically went out of their way to ban all accounts logged in by a specific computer/IP address, chances are your account will not be banned by logging into the server with that computer.

 

Some video game prank youtubers are banned from a lot of servers but on alternative accounts, they're still able to connect.
