Monitor not displaying once boots gets to login screen of Win10

Monitor displays the bios, the initial boot phase as well as the loading screen win10 makes with the tiny circular moving dots. as soon as the login part of the boot to OS begins, it loses display

GPU driver issue? After login, it usually initiates the drivers for most peripherals.

I have the opposite problem. My MoBo will not use the discrete GPU for booting, only firing up once Windows is logged in.

 

All happened when I changed screens, the MoBo settings will not save to override and use the discrete graphics, so if I need to get into my BIOS i have to swap to the integrated GPU output everytime. Kind of annoying, but whatever.
