Help...Low 100 FPS on warzone with RTX 3080?

Go to solution Solved by Tristerin,

Dont forget, this is ONLINE play, meaning you are also waiting on network information that the GPU then has to fetch and display on screen...every MS.

How does your system run in the single player mode if you own it?  That will give you more of an ideal on how your hardware is actually working with the software.

I just built my first gaming PC and looking for some help to get higher FPS on Warzone. Currently getting around 100-115 fps and was expecting higher. Here is a breakdown of my build. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

GPU: EVGA FTW3 ULTRA 3080

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x

PSU: EVGA superNova 850 G3 80 plus gold

MB: X570 MSI Tomahawk WI-FI

RAM: G.Skill tridentZ RBG 16g (2x8gb) 3600

Storage: Western digital SN750 gen 3 NVMe 1tb

Cooling: Corsair icue H100i RGB pro XT

Monitor: 165 hz 1440p HP omen

open task manager. anything at 100%? If stuff isnt running at full, turning distance scaling down worked in gta

OUTDATED JAN 2021 ===========> Check out my pc building guide! might be useful tho

It's great for planning new builds, getting a reference on where to start, or seeing what you need to play what games.

It also shows what I recommend for upgrading your stuff!

cpu - ryzen 5 3600

gpu - gtx 1070

ram - (2x8) 3200mhz

ssd - 970 evo plus 500gb

ssd2 - 860 qvo 1tb

mobo - asrock b450m hdv r4.0

psu - evga b5 550w bronze

Couple things to check.  As above, open task manager and see if you are pegged at 100%.  Really shouldnt be CPU bottlenecked but worth a check.

Did you enable XMP?  Go into BIOS and make sure you  have enabled and RAM  is running at 3600.

Make sure your drivers are updated.  I use geforce experience software, but many dont like this.  Can DL right from NVIDIAs website.

Based on the youtubes, you should be getting anywhere from 140-180 FPS, on 1440p ultra.

Thanks for the feedback. I will look into my BIOS settings and see if that gives me any boost

I have not tried the campaign mode. Probably worth looking into

People are getting 140fps on average paired with a 3950x and slightly higher with a 10900k playing at 1440p high settings. So, it’s not crazy to think that you’re getting 115fps with a 3700x on Ultra. Your FPS is probably near what it should be. You also might have some background activity taking a little bit of performance.

I have same issue with warzone. I get avg 130 fps on 1440p (same with 1080p which is weird) + low settings + RTX OFF.
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- MSI LIQUIDCORE 240R cpu cooler
- ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS motherboard
- G.Skill Ripjaws V 64GB 3200Mhz
- RTX 3080 10GB Gigabyte OC
- Gigabyte GP-P850GM 850W 80 Plus Gold PSU

The power limit set by the bios (94.02.26.48.70) is 370w and voltage limit is 1.09.

I used gpu-z to see what is happening during gameplay and it seems that the reason for performance cap is that the card reaches maximum allowed voltage (VRel, VOp) while the power drawn by the gpu board is around 250w

I've spent the entire christmas and new year vacation trying to figure out what could be the problem as I believe with my build I should get more fps than 130.

I came into a guess/conclusion that the issue is within the game itself and how it is "optimized" as most of benchmarks give reasonable fps.

Game is poorly optimized.  Nothing you can do.
