Eat Soup

The drivers for the amd rx 5700 will not install using adrenalin 2020 and I have reseated the gpu and made sure the vbios is up to date. The latest version of windows is also installed. Device manager is giving code 43. I do not know what the issue is or how to fix it.

Specifications:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300

6 Gb DDR3 1333mhz

RX 5700 8Gb

700Gb 7200rpm seagate hard drive

Unknown motherboard

500W Thermaltake PSU

where are you trying to install them from? Install them form AMD's website not from device manager.

also rx 5700 has some issuees with older hardware like your. Your bios needs UEFI support in order for the rx 5700 to work correctly. also what are you doing with the pc?

If you game on that pc you will have bad time since your cpu is very weak.

You need UEFI BIOS for this card to work

This might be the issue here as my motherboard is legacy.

No way around that short of new hardware.

Even if it were possible it would be pointless to install the 5700 because pairing it with a CPU that old would be like chaining an anchor to it in game performance.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
