The laptop I will be using is a Lenovo S340-15iil with an i7-1065G7 and I plan to connect an rx 5700 via one of those GPU docks that connect via mPCIe. The concern I have is if the bios of the motherboard will conflict with the mPCIe connection since I have experienced issues in the past with this exact laptop where the bios disabled the mPCIe slot entirely because it detected an unofficially supported wifi adapter (the mPCIe would enable once again after I flashed the firmware of the motherboard, but only with the original wifi adapter).

Will a Ryzen 3 3300X bottleneck an RX 5700?

Do you think this cpu would struggle running GTA V on ultra at 60fps? -

Alright, thank you! -
I am considering overclocking both the cpu and gpu. I'm planning to purchase 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz memory.

What is a good value motherboard for Ryzen 5 3600?
Eat Soup replied to Eat Soup's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I don't plan on upgrading for at least 4 years and I don't even plan on adding an m.2 anytime soon as I plan to boot from a 128GB sata ssd. -

At the same price point, what B550 motherboard should I get? -

I'm concerned about whether I would need to update the bios using an older ryzen that I don't have. -
I'm planning to purchase a new motherboard for a ryzen 5 3600 in Canada and the budget is $150 CAD. I plan on moderately overclocking the cpu and I do not care for rgb. It would be preferable if the motherboard included wifi. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 Stock wraith cooler RX 5700 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz At least 3 case fans

This might be the issue here as my motherboard is legacy. -

The drivers for the amd rx 5700 will not install using adrenalin 2020 and I have reseated the gpu and made sure the vbios is up to date. The latest version of windows is also installed. Device manager is giving code 43. I do not know what the issue is or how to fix it. I cannot use a screensaver since I am constantly using chrome and the burn in still appears if I turn the display brightness down all the way.

I have this ~15 year old LCD monitor that I use as a secondary display and I've noticed that it is perceptive to temporary burn ins (lasting 2 hours after turning the display off). This seems to only occur in a specific area of the monitor at the top left. Is there something wrong with the hardware or is there something in the monitor settings such as brightness or contrast that I can change to reduce the effects?
