3060 ti and 520 Watt Power Supply

NTDaws

Hey fellas,

I order a 3060ti from memory express. And I wanna know if my power supply will handle it.

I currently have a i5 10400f

The power supply is a Seasonic of 520 Watt Power supply.

that PSU is a d tier on PSU tier list which DEFINITELY means you need a better one since nvidia recommends 650w for that card anyways

OUTDATED JAN 2021 ===========> Check out my pc building guide! might be useful tho

It's great for planning new builds, getting a reference on where to start, or seeing what you need to play what games.

It also shows what I recommend for upgrading your stuff!

cpu - ryzen 5 3600

gpu - gtx 1070

ram - (2x8) 3200mhz

ssd - 970 evo plus 500gb

ssd2 - 860 qvo 1tb

mobo - asrock b450m hdv r4.0

psu - evga b5 550w bronze

Yeah it’ll power it fine.

Consider back in 2010 the s12ii’s were powering 250 watt gtx 480’s

It’ll do a 200 watt 3060ti fine

You should upgrade the psu, because the s12ii is 10 year old technology, but it’s not 100% a necessity. You can use that psu for the hardware you have, but ideally you would want to upgrade to a modern psu.
